The area along the left foreshore of Sava River from Račinovci (rkm 212.080) to the Trnava confluence at Nova Gradiška (rkm 464.500) is protected against floods by a continual line of river dikes covering the total length of 236 km.

As the leading member of the consortium in cooperation with renowned Croatian companies, VPB has contracted to prepare detailed project documentation for constructing the largest infrastructural EU project in flood control on Croatian territory. The primary goal of the modernization project for the Sava river dikes foreshore is improving stability of the foundation ground in the embankment footing and more effective implementation of flood protection measures at the section from Račinovci to Nova Gradiška covering the total length of 236 km.
