Use permits have been issued for the Planički jarek and Martin breg retarding basins in Dugo Selo
The need to construct the retarding basins arose due to the insufficient capacity of the existing combined sewer network and limited space for the construction of the new sewer system, which has been even more strongly felt due to the intensive post-war construction in the area. Vodoprivredno-projektni biro was the lead design engineering company for the Planički jarek retarding basin and for Martin breg retarding basin in cooperation with the company Geokon-Zagreb. For both retarding basins VPB made hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and prepared design documents for the outlet works, including a geodetic design. Use permits have been issued for the Planički jarek and Martin breg retarding basins in Dugo Selo after both underwent final inspection during December 2020. With the construction of the retarding basins, the peak of the water wave will be reduced as well as retarded.
