Measure 4.3.1 is directed towards the construction of public irrigation systems leading to private lots and the reduction of adverse environmental effects caused by climate conditions (droughts). VPB contracted and successfully completed study documentation for co-financing from EU agricultural funds for rural development relating to four public irrigation systems: Orubica (326 ha) in the Brod – Posavina County, Đolta (161 ha) in the Virovitica – Podravina County, Lišansko polje (232 ha) in the Zadar County and Glog (310 ha) in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The investment value of the public irrigation project is about 15 million euros, each. Investors for the systems are local and regional government bodies, i.e., counties, with Hrvatske vode as the intermediary.
